Rock on, ladies! This is a fabulous and fun event. My high-schooler played in it and was inspired by all of you strong and talented women, great role models for our girls! Just terrific. Thanks for covering it, WBUR.

Hearing this event over the radio gave me happy chills. I am fifty-five years old and was excited and proud to hear of news of women over fifty still playing basketball, one of us….what do you know…..one of us. I’ll have to admit to watery eyes and wishing I was on the team.

There is a NH Team! We are called the Granite Peaks. We play in Laconia at the Community Center, Thursday nights at 7pm. All women are welcome!
