Many companies used to be “proud sponsors” of Team USA, but major organizations like Bank of America promptly dropped their sponsorships before Vancouver 2010. Fortunately, Bill reports, that hasn’t prevented the U.S. from excelling in the Winter Games, as some of America’s big names and small businesses have stepped up to sponsor Team USA.

Dear Mr. Gallaugher: Is this the same Boston College that engaged in basketball point shaving scandals in the late seventys and football betting scandals under Coach Dan Henning’s tenure? I believe so. Is this the same Boston College that has never won a national championship in a major college sport? Is this the same Boston College that produces an illiterate like B.J. Raji? Is this the same Boston College whose basketball players have accumulated numerous arrests during the Al Skinner regime? Yeah, BC has it right!
Professor Gallaugher might have been more forthcoming and transparent had he disclosed that he has two degrees from BC and thus has more than an academic interest in this. And what does beating Notre Dame in hockey and football have to do with academic integrity anyway?
