58-year-old hospital C.E.O. John Malone has been a fan of racing since he was a kid, but after getting a chance to drive around Lake Erie's brand new racetrack, he decided to buy a car, suit up, and try it himself. Malone's not ashamed of being the oldest rookie on the track, he even named his car after the year he was born. #45 is covered from bumper to bumper in logos and advertisements. But don't be fooled. Malone doesn't have any sponsors. He just liked the look of the logos from the hospital, his favorite restaurant, and the garage owned by his son-in-law.
